embossed glossy

This is the first post in the dry embossed techniques I am sharing. Inspired from the Inspiration Showcase by Online Card Classes from Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner. This posted is focused on embossing on glossy paper. I love this look. First there is the card.

Next is the tag I made for the technique and added to my technique ring.

The biggest tip I can give you with this technique is to sand the tops of the embossed (raised) design. This allows the ink to better penetrate the paper and darken that part of the image.

Ranger Glossy card stock dry embossed with a Hero Arts folder and rubbed with Distress Inks Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans then mounted on Nenah Solar White card base. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set white heat embossed on black Bazzill yardstick and tied with a little piece of purple twine.
