painted resist

The second in my technique study of resist techniques.

This technique was taken from/inspired by the Inspiration Showcase class from Online Card Classes and taught by Jennifer McGuire.

I had to practice this one a number of times before I was able to get a sample with which I was happy. There is a fine balance between using a stamp with enough area for paint to be deposited on the card to resist the ink and having enough blank area to ink.

I also found that the Adirondack Pearl paint worked better at resisting the ink than plain white acrylic paint.

The next technique is Fabric/Canvas Resist...

see you next time, mel xoxo
